Nantucket is known as “The Grey Lady” for a reason. Each morning, fog drapes the harbor in a gentle cloak of mist that softens the edges of the perfect little “Wharf Shacks” and the boats nestled in their moorings. The ethereal feel of Nantucket harbor and the soft slap of the incoming tide inspired me to create this painting.
